We design and manufacture THE alternative to the hospital gown....As if being in the hospital isn't bad enough, you're forced to wear a drab, drafty, revealing-in-the-worst-ways gown. Peg Feodoroff was thinking about the humilating garment while both she and her sister Claire were undergoing chemo in the spring of 03. We want women to feel that even though they're sick they can empower themselves. And one of the ways you can do that is by looking good. Our mission is to return dignity, modesty, and empowerment to people undergoing any medical treatments.They created THE Original Healing Threads. Each macine washable, wrinkle-resistant, StainSmart garment has special features such a slong wide sleeves that roll up for tests. Hidden panels can be pulled down to change bandages or access inner pockets designed to hold chemotherapy treatments or drainage bags. The panels also work for nursing moms. Tops include the Elegant with its Mao collar, frog closures, and bell sleeves, and a treatment gown "Lilly". A portion of Healing Thread's profits will go to Claire's Foundation, supporting single mothers who are fighting terminal illness. It is named for Claire who lost her battle with cancer. We have been featured in People, O and Elle and Health & Women's Health magazine as well as lots of print media & radio shows, and tv in Boston and NY.
